Greetings I am Antonio M. from Bosnia and Herzegovina and i hope you guys can help me with some ideas and questions i have. I have a few ideas for some online business ventures but i am slow at making them come true since i lack the start capital i need. I am very interested in business and IT and i try to learn about both as much as i can,and as i learn i come up with some ideas on how to make money. First of all i want to say that this isn't the typical "how can i earn money online" question, i really read lots of those (here too) and my quest might be similar but its not the same.I know ways how to earn money online (selling something,adsense,writing,offering a service-the works) but i have problems with some of those and one of them is my location,since I live in Bosnia i am limited by a bunch of things as i already mentioned in another threat i opened in "ecommerce".Besides the limitation by location another thing is i don't have any "specific skills" which i could offer at the moment i learn After Effects and i want to start programming (well scripting actually) but i know that will take some time so i don't expect any money from it anytime soon.I am of course open to suggestions about ways to make money online but please consider even thought i am no programmer i have,if i may say so pretty advanced knowledge of computers and the internet in some fields.At the moment i am working on a tutorial site which is the first site i make for myself,it is Drupal based,and at first i wanted to create tutorials for as you would call them "noobs" (there are a lof those here,i always get "how do i register on facebook/how do i create a WLM account/how do i resize a image/how do i convert a video)...but then i considered why not make a bit more,advanced tutorials,why not...then again i thought so many people do reviews on English,why not do some on Croatian and then again i got a problem with my location,locally nobody will give me products to review and i cant ask some USA/UK company to send me a product to Bosnia since i cant afford it to send it back to them...(I hope some of you can make some suggestions about review sites here like where i can get things to review etc.) about the review site i asked someone who has a pretty nice site and he told me that i should get 10 000 visitors/month and then i should ask some companies if they will they will send me something to review,then i decided to add a news section and a forum...I also want to create a social network for my home-town and ask some local companies if they want to advertise on my site...Sorry i got a bit carried away here,anyway even thought i have quite a few ideas how to earn money online and have good knowledge of computers and the Internet (at least i hope so) I don't have start capital to start a few of my projects and don't have the skills to earn money online as a designer/developer but i am still young and i hope i can gain those skills in a few years. I know that earning money online is not something that happens in a day or two,i know its a lot of hard work,and takes often a lot more time then "real" work but i cant get a "real" job and spend a lot of time on the PC and even thought i am working on my site i still have a lot of free time...so why not do some work and earn some extra-money So if you guys can give me some more tips on how to earn money online by any way you know i would be grateful I hope i didn't annoy you with this long post and sorry for my bad English as said i am Bosnian,and i want to thank everyone who tries to help me here. Why don't you ask your local company to give product to you to review? Its much more better coz its more niche. About social network,its better if you only targeted your own country first.
Didnt i say that they wont and besides by the time a product arrives here its outdated in the rest of the world... and here if you want to review something you should be friends/family with the person who gives it to you,you should have a company or you should have osme kind of warranty the he will get his product back like paying for it and when you return it (undamaged) you get your money back... and about the social network...i have the felling you didnt even read what i said,its meant for my home-town...
yea thanks,but can you guys give me some suggestions on money making techniques online,here i read that affiliate makes good money,i dont really understand how (can you show me a example),so i imagine that you create a website and advertise other peoples products,and even thought you might have a lot of visitors that doesent mean that people are going to buy those things...so how do you promote the affiliate... I am also open to any money making ways than you can think of...
the best way to have few site and do the promotion . You can have online store for books or some product it will help you to earn few extra buck.
There are several ways you can get started online to make money. Most people will tell you that they started off as an affiliate marketer. Start promoting someone else product on clickbank and you will start growing from there. If you need further assistance I will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

There's a lot of information out there on the subject, but you need to be careful of how you learn it. A lot of people have hyped up products that serve little purpose. If you're looking for someone to write you a lengthy reply on how to get started, good luck with that... it's not possible, as everyone is different. It takes time to really learn the Business, so don't believe some of these sales pitches.
Most of the time when a company sends you a product to be reviewed it doesn't need to be returned. You have to be a pretty well established blog/website, however. Also, what makes you think that shipping to Bosnia will take forever. I ship stuff to Ukraine sometimes and it usually takes no more than a week to get there.
It sounds like you have a lot of different things going on at one time. The very first thing is you toss out all of the excuses and forget they exist. When you run into a problem you figure out a solution and not just toss your hands up and say there is nothing that I can do about it. If "IT" is what you enjoy then narrow your search for income to this. Oh yeah, you're still learning it.........I forgot Perhaps blog about your learning experiences and how you are going about learning. Everyone says "learn this or that" but never tell you how to go about it. Perhaps someone wanting to learn will be able to relate with you and how you are learning. Maybe your learning will inspire others also. You could provide resources and hints on how to get around problems you have encountered. As far as product reviews, what qualifies you to review products? Are you an engineer or professional at reviewing products? Why would people take you seriously? These are questions that you have to ask because others are going to ask them of you. XX, you have to plan a business and not just toss up a site on whatever you like at the moment. Preferably this business should be based on something that you enjoy and not just about money. If you enjoy the subject you are more likely to work harder on it and the passion for what you do will show in your work. I would suggest start off with a few small goals while you learn. Then increase your goals as you go. I would also make a list of things that interest me and see how they might make income. Narrow this down to one or two things and then start planning from there. I do know that without planning you are going to have some major setbacks. The best of luck to you. I know deciding what way to go can be the toughest part of starting up a business.
First of all i want to thank clenard and HomeComputerGames for their replies because i find these two to be the most usefull by now. My primary goal is to become a web developer,but these are just ideas,that i came up with while learning and thought that it might be fun to do in my spare time and maybe earn a dollar or two,but its not about money I really wanted to use them for marketing,you know build up a network of sites,and the other things i want to get to know the different systems i used Joomla for a while but i dont know,dont really like it ,so i want to try Drupal and WP for my sites... Yes to be honest i was hoping for a long reply,but by the first day,i knew nobody was going to make it,but your reply is fine too Yea Business is like everything,hmm i think this quote explains it quite well Well as i said i primarily just learn web development,these things...i am not trying to do them all at once,by any means,they were just ideas i picked up along the way and thought they might be good... And they are not really excuses i just wanted to know if someone could help me come up with a way to solve these...they are problems which i do want to solve. Thats not really my thing,i dont like getting into something i dont understand too well,which is online business at this time,at the moment i am still working on my first personal site and thats going to be it for now. Yea thats the whole point,when you do something you dont like,you will work on it for a month or even a year,but when things get tough you will say "I dont even like this,so whats the point of putting effort into it ?" and about planing,well you can never plan everything,but i try to think of everything i can and then when i get going of course i discover new problems all the time but isnt that just a part of the whole experience ? Well here is what i can suggest you 1. Build a website 2. Find some profitable products to sell 3. Build a brand for your self so people can trust you 4. Promote your online biz to the internet, get some traffic to your site 5. Build your list 6. Start action now before anyone do it , learning while you do it , can make you more understand how to do your online biz Regards Revenue
I'd say a good way to start off making money on the internet would be finding for a niche using Google ad words tool ( search for a a keyword that is highly searched on Google but doesn't have many main links when you search.) And if you don't have any real skills or infomation you can give I'd advise you to make a online arcade (flash) nieche website, eg: Donkey Kong Kart Racing Games, House Building Games, etc. there are loads of tutorials and flash files you can download and add to your site. I'd reccomend you use Wordpress and add your niche website keywords and after add other websites that are similar to yours in a links list. Quick and Easy
Well i dont really think that niche is the best way...because i think its better to do something you know about,and doing it well like you know about WWII for example,why should you write about Swahili when you know nothing about it just because it doesn't have competition... it means something like competition stimulates business... I do have knowledge and skills,its just that i dont really have specific skills like i know a lot about IT but i cant code or design...if you know what i mean... Well its funny that you mention flash arcade,because you say i should avoid competition and there are so many sites with flash games that you cant count them... At the moment i have 2 ideas i want to realize,the only problem is that they are regionally oriented...the first is a tutorial site and the second would be something like a information website with some social network features for my home town,if i get enough views i will ask some local businesses if they want to advertise on my site... Yea i am using drupal for my first site which i find to be a mistake...i should use it for my second site because Drupal is best for community sites and alike,but what can you do,i might switch to Wordpress i heavent posted any content yet,i will take a look tommorow... I am also considering affiliates but i dont know much about that so i will first research that...
I agree, but, as it's his first time, it's a lot easier to SEO a niche market, it would be like the tutorial level compared to level 1. ( tutorial level requirements: not much. tutorial level. Niche level 1 requirments: SEO'd another site whould help. level 1. What you know about. ) ( I'm been playing too many flash games, sorry about the game eg. )
O its fine,its good for portals and forums to have games for some relaxation... but business for it...how can you compare with sites like freeonlinegames.com But thanks anyway...
