Need ideas on how to advertise on site.

I want to have an advertising website. Just 1 single homepage (like million dollar homepage).

There will be a special bonus and stuff, there is more to it than just this, but can anyone help me with ideas of how I can sell advertising space? Anything besides pixels that you would find neat.

 

If you want quick reach and traffic - you have to invest $$$. No magic solution.

 

You can sell the advertising space directly e.g. through forum advertising sections or join some advertising network and simply place advertising html code on your website.

I want to be like that Million Dollar Homepage, but instead of selling pixels I was wondering what else would be cool to sell, that can be featured on homepage.

How about you incorporate a donation to charity as part of your pitch? Everyone who advertises with you will have a percentage of their fee donated to a charity on their behalf. Something like this makes people feel good.

I have no understanding of the concept you are trying to achieve but one of the things potential advertiser will be looking for is the amount of traffic your site receives. What are the visitors coming to your website for in the first place?

 

The visitors will come that's part of the plan. Now I understand they want hits, but my problem with Million Dollar Homepage is that the conversion rate of hits vs. impressions can't be that good.

I'm wondering if there is a bit of a better plan.

Is it ok that impressions vs. clicks aren't that high? Are potential buyers looking just to get a place on this page, as long as I'm getting enough hits?

 

Nomatter what your page will show to customers, you must have traffic, this is the base of your success!

 

2 ways, short run for fast but not neutral traffic, or long run for neutral and stable traffic

 

You need (1) targeted traffic and (2) a pedigree product or service to offer it. As the above poster mentioned, no magic shortcuts are around - people have spent years and thousands upon thousands to build their business. Long term, your business model seems unlikely to work (sorry, just telling you the ugly truth).

Perhaps you'd be better off researching a good niche that has high paying affiliate programs, build a site that presents useful information towards it - so you can make money by the traffic clicking on Adsense/PPL (etc) ads and buying related products through your affiliate links?
