Google is EXPENSIVE!

I would like to hear what you think about Google in general. I think it's just too damn expensive ($2.00) per click! That runs up a mighty bill. But what do you think?
This is really interesting and open to some debate. I can see how one side feels this way and yet others feel another. Personally, it's very hard to say. I think I'm not going to take a stand on this yet. Curious to see what others feel.

Its is I would agree. One site I advertise there costs me an average of $5 a click. Some clicks cost as much as $15.

Then so far I got good results from it. So I don't mind.

PPC can be very expensive. I used to use it to sell low-cost products and just about managed to break even after a couple of months. As soon as my organic SEO efforts gave me an equivalent traffic to Adwords I stopped using PPC.

They are greedy for sure. A lot of pressure to keep the inflated stock price up at ridiculous level.

Yes, I agree that AdWords has gotten very expensive. That's why I use 7search.com now. :D The traffic quality is just as good, and the cost is much less - so far!

Great place -- there are a ton of other ppc sites -- I love using the MSN/Bing Ad network and also YSM's network. Azoogle ads once worked, I forgot the other ppc services but there are sites covering the possible cpc / ppc ad networks / sites

Don't blame Google for those prices.
Just as eBay, it's the morons out there bidding.
(All Google does is keep most of the money.)

Being creative with keyword combinations can bring the price down a bit.

My Worry with adwords was with after paying 500-1000 $ per month for years i installed a tracking sytem that monitored the clicks ! within weeks i noticed a HUGE amount of clicks , likely 50% + coming from asia ..im in Uk , all in very short periods of time ...to me it looked like a click farm ... so eitehr i ws being targetted by a competitor or ???????????

I contacted adwords multiple times by email with no response so I gave up and topped using them , if your spending decent money with adwords I really urge you to monitor the clicks with independant software

HERES a post i made in 2007 about the same thing .. and the thing that surprised me most at the time is the silence !

I found PPC very expensive with Google until I found myself an adwords manager who takes care of it for me...the $99 he charges me per month is worth its weight in gold as the costs per click have come down dramatically! Also, don't bid the big amount to appear as the first ad shown....I have found the people who click these ads are tire kickers

According to what I knew, Adwords let you limit the country and city, so why not using that service!?

It depend how much your revenue, some member are even paying more than $20 per click. As long as you can earn more than you invest and you satisfy with the revenue, then go ahead. Else, leave it

I am also agree with your statement that google adwords is expensive but there is one point to be consider that google is one of the major player in this search engine optimization field and you can get business conversion with good number of visitors.

Life and marketing need chance to proof your ability.

It depends on the keywords as some of them can be $0.05 per click and thats not so bad.
