Installing Apache on a IIS and Mysql configured Windows Xp.

    hey! i tried the thing you said above but i can't find the one with a .pl extension, .cgi either..
    the one that i saw is for .php only...
    any help?

    What distribution of Perl do you have installed? Is it ActiveState?

    Also, where do you have Perl installed? Typically this would be C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe.

    Assuming you have Perl installed, but neither the .pl extension or the .cgi extension is present, you can add both.

    Example...
    C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe %s %s (this is what you would add for the executable for the extension).

    Just hit link under Current Release, 5.8.8.

    Komodo is an IDE. The dev kit includes tools, which you don't really need.

    i uninstalled everything including php, iis, and mysql..
    can you help me start again:
    here is the scenario.........how can i configure httpd.conf to work with php 5.1.4?mysql?

    Hi,

    Just want to add more option for you,

    You could use Easyphp a very wonderful tool for running apche server on your local machine. Its so simple that you start/stop the apache, mysql server etc from the system tray itself. And for running perl script you just need to install active perl as well into your sytem. Thats all:)

    i used apacheconf....guess it made my work a lot easier...but i still can't understand the directives, modules, etc,...
