You pay taxes based on what your country. CB doesn't take taxes off your commission checks, but you are required to declare them.. if you want ;)

Yes, you should pay tax, and that depends on your circumstances, expenses and earnings. I would suggest you make an appointment with an auditor or accountant with a good reputation who will understand internet income well. And then, don't try to dodge taxes because other CB affiliates have been put through misery because they tried acting smart with income tax.

First rule of getting an income: NEVER mess with income tax departments.

Yes there are. As well its about how you declare them.
If you are working somewhere, declare them as other earnings and you can pay tax accordingly.

If you can register a company and declare it under the company, you may get some tax benefits. Like In India there is 100% Tax exception for Software Exports & services and affiliate marketing could come under that.

The tax benefits aren't that great when in IM because there isn't a whole lot you can write off. It's hard to explain to the gov that you were entertaining clients as a restaurant expense when your clients don't really exist ;)

So, if you are not working anywhere, how do you declare / pay taxes ? When I used to work, our co used to do that on our behalf.. any idea about how much % in taxes are we talking about here ?

The best way is to consider your income as business / professional -- that means the ITR4 for tax returns.

The tax slabs are the usual -- 10% for upto 1.6 lakhs; 20% for upto 3 lakhs; 30% for higher (there have some changes to this for the next fiscal which you'll need to verify with your tax advisor)

Point is, simply declare your income as a 'Computer / IT Professional' (self employed) and pay taxes as per the government slabs for that financial year.

    Clickbank income is taxable.

Aladin, it's best to pay a visit to your income tax department (if you have one) and clarify with them. You don't want to be carted off just because you got overconfident in your tax payments...
