Hello, PR is very important when you site meets the sites which have the same condition with you.

But for promoting the PR, we should search more and more backlink with high quality.

Not is Pagerank related to traffic?
Even then there is still some doubts about PR having a big effect on SERP.

 

PR is one of many factors to get in SERP. Even if you don't have PR and you have fresh, unique content with effective on-page optimization then your site gets into the serp.

PR effects traffic in small fractions. For very high competitive keywords, it effects more.

 

so, what we have so far, is no one able to prove they have had an update, and everyone is actualy debating what page rank is???!!!!! Still waiting for the update, we have to have one in september surely!!!

 

Let's see if one of you Guru's of PR can answer my question.

My site has been increasing it's PR since day 1. I was very proud to show my site as a PR5 (I don't remember if it already changed to PR6 but let's play safe and say it was 5) for the last year or so. Last night while planning some new things for my site I discovered that my site went from PR5 to PR0. How can this happen to me??? I'm almost crying.

My store still with it's PR4 though, no changes there.

The curious thing about this is that my site hasn't changed AT ALL. Everything is the same... Information, links, modules, images, visitors, etc. So HOW or WHY in the world this happen? Why am I being punished?

Your getting your links from our sites you designed. I see no prob with that. The store is indeed a PR4 while your main site is a PR0. Only reason I can see is that your linking at your first page to www.distributorcentral.com
Your site looks pretty ok thought the site links are pretty a jumble up. I am not sure if that has any effects or not.
Try to delete the links first and ask for reinclusion by Google at Google Webmaster Tool.

 

Keep link building. I hope we can increase pagerank.

Google doesn't penalize a site due to a 3rd party doing or will always get damaged by our competitors.
Have you thought anything else that you may have done at the homepage. The store page is a PR4. Try to fix any problems that you can see before asking for reconsideration request at Google Webmaster Panel.

I haven't done anything, I even left for 3 months and was not working on my sites at all. That "Distributor Central" has been there since day 1 because I have a website with them as I am a promotional products distributor.

Maybe they punished me for this GUIDELINE? I'm not familiar with the "follow no-follow" rule but I will read about it.

My site pr is zero.. it's new that's why.. need to work more on it first..

 

I have just dropped 30 positions in the SERPS, does anybody know any reason for this?

 

All my backlinks are 0. Maybe google are updating something now.
