Be sure you check the hosting company in detail. The number of years of operation, quality of support etc.

    Regards,
    Richie.

how many users are on at the same time? if you get just a few requests at a time, a shared host would be good, otherwise if the number is in the high double digits or triple digits then you may want to think about getting a VPS. I have a forum myself and over the years it has grown out of the shared hosting environment where it needed its own limits. So it's just a little tip from one forum owner to another :)

What board are you installing? 500 users, most shared hosting companies should be able to handle that on their servers. How much banwdwidth/space do you eat up per month?

It will be easy to quote something, if you provide your hosting space and bandwidth requirements along with max number of users at a time. Also, pl. mentione the board script in use too.

I would suggest a VPS, you might have to add a few bucks for a control panel.

Contact Hostlatte Sales department, We can put together a VPS with Direct Admin for about $15 a month.
