The only thing I lied and admitted to was pretending not to own the site so I could promote it. What else have I lied about, and what did my buddy ever lie about? He plays no part in this. At this point my rep on this forum is ruined, and I understand that. I'm not trying to make up for it, and the site is no longer for sale.

Read up on the sitepoint rules, where again, as I posted TWICE, it clearly states:

"Negative comments about or criticism of the seller or item for sale are strictly not allowed. This includes accusations of fraud or theft, even if they are well-intentioned (for example, to "warn others"). If any member has a dispute with a seller, it must be solved privately, and not be referred to publicly in auctions. A member who posts negative comments or accusations about a seller may have their posts removed, or may be banned permanently."

I ended the sitepoint auction late last night, and removed most of the negative comments.

    Ok....

Here we go again... You can't trick pros in this business cause the internet is opened box for those who know how to use it ;). Maybe you are not a scammer but all those posts saying the other way will back away poeple like me trying to make a living from this business.

You have to be honest (from my experience) if you want to do business over then net cause internet is a small space...

Dude its done..................There are to many excuses for everything here. This isnt freaking connect the freaking dots.

    -You lied

-you had your buddies write up big time stuff even though you say they did it cause they LOVED your service. Lets just have Iraq justify anything for North Korea while were at it ok......LOL

it goes on and on and you have an excuse for everything that doesnt add up.

Give it a rest already...Ya got busted plain and simple. And Yes your Rep here has been destroyed because of your OWN actions.

Stop blaming everyone but yourself. Take responsibility for YOUR actions and deal with it.

Understood, and I apologize for not stating the truth from the beginning. It is over now and the site is no longer for sale.

PGZ stop trying to come off as a hardass. Read some of your previous posts to other people on this forum and thats what you portray yourself as. I took responsibility for my actions and its over with, if you guys want to keep bumping this thread accusing me more and more for the same stuff, go ahead, I see no point in it anymore as its over.

I got the stats of the myspace traffic. He did in fact send out bulletins and the traffic was pretty good, so thanks symp :D

Allthough the myspacers didn't really click ads much, they did like my website. Normally the traffic on this small celebrity entertainments site is about 85% from search engines, and the session depth averages 2.96, on the day the bulletins were sent the average sessions depth was 4.35. (session depth is pageviews per visitor)

Furthermore, from the ~170 unique myspacers that were sent to my landing page (section frontpage) 10 of them browsed there way to my page with viral myspace banner images. I have verified that at least 3 of these users have adopted my viral images on their profile (+the links to my site that are bundled with it). So overall I'm happy with the traffic.

    Thanks for that info Peach.

So the answer here then is to promote the service and either
    1. keep it and run it yourself
    2. keep it and get someone else to run it
    3. sell it and move on.

Sorry off topic (although I read the whole thing... )

peach... what stats program is that? Looks nice. :)

EDIT: what the heck... I would consider using the service (as long as it's not against myspace tos) and the price is right.
