Is there a way? Is there a tool or how does one verify if the ads placed on their pages are those causing low earnings? Curious

Um, I'm not sure if this will answer your question...but you could use the keyword tool and see which Key-Words are the most competitive/popular.

Obviously a site about more popular items/subjects (Electronics, Movies, Credit Cards) will have more companies bidding for top placement, therefore leading to higher revenue.

I have a few websites, and I see a wide range in CPC depending on the content.

Do you mean actually erase or delete it off of the page for a while?

This is a big myth. Why would google do this? They are losing money here. However, you do see lower paid ads if your not receiving much traffic. Google makes more money if they place the higher paid ads with the higher visited sites. So all you need to do is generate steady traffic and you will start seeing higher paid ads.

try to use preview tool, maybe sites which doesnt have any content (1-2 links to cpa companies) inside advertising. Since they don't advertise their site, they are paying less. Disable all those sites
Second, if nothing changed after 2-3 days later, probably you smart priced. Ad more content, do this bla bla...nothing can help to make the time period shorter than 4-5 months. You have to wait, add more content to your site at this period

    correct explanation...
and try gaining more in SERPs for the keywords to which the webpage is optimized, get the rankings and see your revenue going back to normal, because high paying advertisers only advertise on most trafficked and targeted keyworded webpages (rather googles does this for its advertisers)
