I think we're there kicking ass justifiably. Saddam invaded two(actually they went into saudi arabia too) of its neighbors and was a destabilizing force in the region and hence the world economy. He catalyzed a coalition of nations who may otherwise not even be friendly towards each other to fight against him. Then after he lost he continued to be a destabilizing threat by refusing to fully cooperate with inspections, for thirteen years. I done told you why we are in Afghanistan.
For "new" and many other muslims talibans are True muslims. Freedom fighters, soldiers of Allah etc.. And BTW, why should women go to school, they don't have to know how to read and write to go to "heaven" (according to many quran expert muslims.) I'm saying this sincerely - I really am shocked that people can believe this crap, turn a blind eye to a lot of what we've been discussing (say, the issue of child marriage, to see someone attempt a rational justification, by such irrational bases - it does shock me, to be completely honest). What annoys me is that judging from their posts, the Muslims around mourn the death of innocent Muslims only if they died by the hand of non-Muslims. If innocent Muslim civilians are butchered by other Muslims, which is as a matter of fact more common according to the statistics, no chance that a muslim will be shocked about the occasion and post it to share his shock and feeling of sorrow with us. No Muslim posted anything when Hamas butchered 30 "jund ansar allah" followers in Gaza last month. None of them participated in the thread on that subject. No Muslim posted anything when 40 Syrian villagers died when a ground missile landed in a village market during a failed missile experiment by Syria (who officially called it a "gas explosion"). None of them participated in the thread on that subject. No Muslim felt sorry for the dead in the last week Iraq bombing killing 95 people. No Muslim post anything when every 2nd day a mosque blows up in the shiite-sunni war that sweeps the middle east and is expected to worsen with the emerging Iran-Egypt hate relations. But when we west (or Israel) is unintentionally killing a couple of civilians as part of a struggle against brutal terrorists, only then they are so shocked and protest so harshly.

But a quick glance at this forum with show threads where everything from beating your wife to raping children has been justified at some level by the vast majority of muslims, here at least. it seems, at least by the majority of muslims on this forum, no action is too abhorrent to defend, so long as it was committed by a fellow muslim and/or in the name of islam. Sure there have been the odd few who, after being prompted to do so, have condemned child rape, but that in it's self is hardly grounds for praise, it's actually the normal response so such a heinous crime against the most vulnerable of us.
New, here is your Taliban in action. This woman was a human being. This is the very heart of the Taliban, absolute evil towards the mothers that brought them into life, sisters and wives that should be their beloved siblings and mates in life, not the cattle under their jackbooted feet; it is the very essence of the Taliban, what they live by and what they impose, blood in their teeth, when in power. You can once again ignore the truth, or you can, at some point in what I'm guessing is your young life, look into a deeper part of your heart than can be reached by dogma, and ask - is this what you would want for your sisters, mothers, daughters? Your beloved wife and partner in life? Really?
