Hello dear DP members, I was thinking of creating a blog focusing health niche for long and finally i have put my ideas into reality. Here's the link Heath TipsPedia Now what i need is your comments, critics, suggestions, recommendations and overall participation which will be very much helpful for me to continue with the tough blogging pathway. Please let me know whatever come to your mind. I would really appreciate your time and effort reviewing my site. Thanks all
You have nine visible ads spots above the fold. That's kind of a lot. I would personally dismiss the site as a MFAS. Also, using Firefox 3.5 there is content in the left sidebar that is out of the box...to the left. Basically, a formatting issue. I would also add a logo...just some tips for you.
thanks a lot for your valuable tips. the ad spots were there with the free template i've downloaded from net. so i thought since they are there, why should i keep them empty. so i let them all visible. sorry i didnt understand what you mean as a MFAS. i would be greatful if you clarify the term. about the left sidebar, i dont know why it is happening. i dont have so much html knowledge so checking the code again and again didnt formed any result. thanks
it simple, focus and fast enough to open but i think you need to hide banned menu as long as no ads there
yeah i thought of removing that too.. but as i said i dont have much html knowledge, i thought if i remove it now, i cant put it again later on if sometime i feel the requirement...
For the left sidebar, I didn't look at the code, but it could take just adding a margin to the content. So for the paragraph it's in or list, just ad a style to it. Like this: <p style="margin-left:30px"> your content. MFAS, basically, I was just writing short for Made for Adsense site. There are webmasters out there, that simply build junk sites. They slap in some keyword rich content, some Google ads, and walk away.
Yes, I agree with many of the comments above in that I believe you have a bit too many ads on the page which distracts from your actual content.
thanks for your comment. are you pointing on google ads only, or the 'advertise here' thumbnils are also looking bad? if i want to remove one ad unit, which one do you suggest?
It looks fine but the sponsor ads need to go. You can go into the code of the template you are using and remove them easily. Everything will look good then! I think 3 ads are fine for adsense, if you are seeing results. If not try removing one. The content is alright, it contains some useful information. You are on a good path, but keep updating regularly and filling it with information that is VALUABLE. You call it the "health tipspedia" so most users would expect quite a bit of content.
I love the layout. . .very user friendly. I would take a look at your content, though. The first article needs a serious rewrite. Didn't read the rest though.
