I keep motivated by thinking about the "Big Picture" what I want to acheive. Even if I can only spend 10 minutes, that's better than none.
If you have a clear goal in your mind, it is likely you have got the motivation for your study, work and life. With the goal in mind, long term or short term, you know what you have to do to achieve the goal. That's to say, to get what you want, it is easily to give up those negative ideas which may occur to you occassionaly. And of course, self-confidence is another very important element for one to get motivated.
Absolutely , totally, 100% spot on. It always comes down to fear. People who are successful are more afraid of not making it work. Unsuccessful people are more afraid of change.
If you don't have the resources you needed, then think of ways how will have them. Do something about it and work hard for it. And if you already have them, you can do what you want to do.
You need both method and target to motivated yourself. You need to keep on thinking the target, imaging what happen when you achieve it, it is motivated. However, as you mentioned, many people just give up when they found some "challenge" such as "I dont have the resource" etc, then you gotta have some method to solve it, use 5 why, it always helps to give you the direction
Dream pictures are good.. snip pics from magazines and stuff and make a poster of all the stuff/experiences you want. Grant for visualizing the goal.
who you hang around with makes a big difference i noticed.. if ppl around u r positive then I tend to be more positive more often.
just think of your inspiration on doing it... for you not to be distracted by your negative thoughts.....
I motivate myself by considering the alternative.. what if I didn't even try.. that would be worse.. and so I try and the cycle continues..
I think positive and optimistic. I also collect motivational quotes and when I hear or read one I put them in a file. "Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, create what is specifically your own" - Bruce Lee's Philosophy "Energy and persistence conquer all things". - Benjamin Franklin "There's no such thing as talent; you just have to work hard enough". - David Mamet "I like to just blank out negative thoughts" - Donald Trump on Letterman, 8/8/2008
Books are always the great source of motivation. I have gone through some of the beautiful autobiographies that kept me motivated for longer duration of time. Quotes also help you in charging up the thoughts.
