Google dance is the name of a site's going down and up in rankings, especially when this site is a new one.

 

Because of Google have a lot of data center at all the world. sometime you check you site rank high and suddenly low. Because Google take time to synchronize all data. That make you get different result from different google IP.

 

Google dance: The change in SERPs caused by an update of the Google database or algorithm. The cause of great angst and consternation for webmasters who slip in the SERPs. Or, the period of time during a Google index update when different data centers have different data.

 

Yeah, that's when your site is unstable in the Serps and it constantly raises and falls through the lists.

I have had sites completely drop out of the index from a top 30 postion for a week then appear in the top 5 and stick. Ive also had the opposite a top ten go to out. With no blackhat crazy stuff. Then the site stayed out for a long time.

 

Google search engine is working on some advance Artificial Intelligence software and programming and google also need some updations in its programming, that time all websites ranking goes up and down. if you are at no. 3 then you can come at 1 or may be at 30. This uncertainty is known as google dance.

In few days this become fixed and all ranking arranged in same manner or according to priority basis.
