How to improve Alexa Ranking?

How do I improve my Alexa ranking? Right now my site http://stocksonwallstreet.net/ ranks 204,841 and I have only been running it around 6 months. How do I get to top 100,000?

What exactly is Social Media Optimization?

 

just curious why Alexa matters? it seems like a bit of a pointless stat. maybe i'm off base - I was just wondering?

 

I thought that to about Alexa, main goal from what I know is it shows roughly how much traffic you get and how you rank against other sites. I know private advertisers love it.

 

It's all about attracting advertisers and More Money from them. Most of them go by alexa rank and PR. Another thing is, if you want to have authority in your niche then most people are going to be looking at your alexa rankings.
