Limedomains basic hosting review?

After watching so much promotion of the basic hosting by limedomains I am thinking of buying one.
They are giving 500Mb basic hosting with every domain name.I just need to host a blog and 500Mb is fine with me.
    Is it a good deal?
Is there any other host which offers free basic hosting with a domain name?
    Please review.

There are many other domain name providers who give hosting, but I think limedomain is a good choice if 500Mb hosting is fine with you.
The bandwidth is only 1 GB though and the upgrading cost are high.

    Richie.

You can find a list of probably thousands of free web hosting sites here http://www.free-webhosts.com/

Though I wouldn't recommend it, as free hosting usually have heavily loaded servers with high downtime and poor support, if available at all.
Trap 17 was a good one as far as I know but they require you posting on forums and gain credits to host.
Free hosting can give you a start if you are low on finance.

For paid hosting, I would suggest Hostluck.com Special hosting offer

    Regards,
    Richie.

I bought a domain name from lime domains at $8.99 with free basic hosting which is very much economical from any other hosting providers, there is no hidden cost,I got 500 mb storage space which is fine for a basic user like me.The site I hosted is dub dub dubdotstayspeedy.com

    Hey everyone...

Sorry to bring up such an old thread but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with them since September?

Looks like the best deal for paid webhosting I've ever seen.

    • $9 for a .com domain & a year of free hosting
    • Limewire has been around for years, not going anywhere

Check it out: (the second column)

    http://www.limedomains.com/hosting
    Code (markup):
All I would use it for would be for affiliate marketing purposes and maybe a CPA offer, nothing big like a forum, community, or anything that would require more than 1000 visitors/day, at least in the beginning.

    • Is there a better deal that I'm unaware of?
    • Does Lime domains have a bad rep for downtime?
    • Is it SEO-friendly?

EDIT: Couldn't really find a bad review on Google.

I am using LimeDomains basic hosting as well as premium hosting. Currently i am holding 2 accounts from them and i am quite satisfied with the services i received. I even got great offers from sales team when ever required.

I purchased a premium hosting for one year just in $107.89 with 10% off on hosting plan which is very less when compared to other hosting companies and even the services i am getting i.e 24*7 support. They even do regular follow ups.

They provided me a URL with that i was able to avail the offer i.e http://www.limedomains.com/special_offer_hosting_10off?coupon_code=lime10&cid=TbkTkl&Sales_Rep=036

I have used them for several domains because they initially seemed relatively affordable. But beware - after you've been with them for a while they will try to artificially consume your bandwidth so you would have to upgrade to one of their more expensive packages. Also, they sometimes reject perfectly valid domain registrations for no apparent reason, AFTER you've paid for it and uploaded many files. Their website is an incoherent mess, especially after the update to GotoNames that has resulted in lots of broken links and inconsistencies, which they have left unfixed for months, even on something as important as a support ticket link! They might seem affordable at first, but they are a poor scam of a company in reality, so I advise to stay far, far away from them.
