Yes, but was boring for me. The most interesting things for me were ABC defence training and communication. I hate guns and it always made me feel bad when I had to carry one.
I was a gnat's dick from joining the navy. Was just about to head down south to the AIB when I realised I have a problem taking orders
Never was and well couldn't be, I actually did talk to them at one time but errr factors made it impossible for me to serve
Just got out last august after 9 years in the Army. Had bad times, had good times, and had times I will never forget. Overall, I'm glad I served. It really put a perspective on life. I'm grateful for what I have. In times when I'm not, I just remember how it could be and I'm happy for what I have. It's not for everyone, but that is ok. Just remember that when the government does something stupid, lash out at them, not the poor bastards that have to go do what has to be done. And remember to thank a veteran every chance you get, young and old. They make sacrifices that the average person couldn't even think of.
Be mad at the government if you must, but be thoughtful of the men and women, who actually have to carry out the plan. It's their job. Most are proud to do it. My brother joined the Airforce after the war in Iraq had begun. He wanted to "do something for his country", he said. I cried tears of fear and pride the day he left for Iraq - and tears of joy and pride when he came back safe and sound. I never miss the opportunity to say thank you when I meet a verteran - and offer a handshake or hug. There's no bigger sacrifice. Kudos to you!
I wish I could, I REALLY DO, but I tried and found out I have tourettes, it was completely crushing but I decided to go to college and join the PeaceCorps.
never never never , defence or offence it is the same thing for me it is about killing humans it is against what i beleive in and will never go to the army even if they decided to put me in jail for the rest of my life (i hope there's internet in jail though)
