I think you are pretty close there. I'm guessing if you count bands and stuff it might be more like 50M real users but I wager only 30-40M are 'active' users. The rest is crap I wonder how many profiles have been deleted and stuff too.
right, you've got countless number of people who were roped into joining it in the first place by a friend or joined and then never really used it again much if any...
you don't think $580 million is very much??? I imagine they didn't pocket that much themselves but I bet their days of Mac & cheese and or Raman's are long gone.
My little brother screwed with me and signed me up using my user/pw... I freaked out.. I was like: "OMG they h4x0r3d my cpu and signed myself up!!" Only to find out a week later he did it...
Not a smart purchase. Young people change thier interests all the time. In a coupe years they may just get tired of myspace and traffic may drop by 3/4s and thats it.
The original guy that made a bunch of money on myspace was Tom He didn't make it like a lot of people think, he bought it, I think the maker was like a relative or friend or something, I forgot because it's been a while but Tom than sold it for $7 Million and another company bought it for $580 million. Obviously it must make some money, besides, you see all those ads all over the place, imagine how many people use those ads or how much companies are willing to pay to advertise on one of the most visited websites on the net. Hell, if you had a website with an Alexa ranking of 6 I'm sure it'd be worth a lot. lol
Yep, two, and Tom got $7 Mil The guy he bought it from got ripped off. lol, Tom is on most people's myspace's though if you look his friend ID is 7 and it does go in order. The original user does not exist anymore but the other 5 do. Tom actualy admitted that he doesn't even know HTML, lol, but with $7 Million who cares?
kind of annoying having tom on every myspace account.. makes the "in your network" and "people in your network" just stupid and a waste of page space. A link to my page would be much better there
myspace has now become this free marketting tool for people. I personally have 3 accounts, one is personal, other 2 for marketting my websites... day by day i also feel its becoming a little slow... tom is one lucky guy, nonetheless...
