I installed a wordpress site map by its plugins but its not working i used seo quack where it says there is no site map on this site. i wish to know if any one can help me ... regards
Perhaps there is something wrong during the installation of that plugin.. most of the mistakes come from sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz files. By the way, what kind of plugin did you use? is it google sitemap?
I have problem with my wp sitemap. How to create or to get this two files : sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz ? Any one can help me?
first of all, open up two blank notepad files in your desktop and save it as sitemap.xml and the other one as sitemap.xml.gz, after that you will notice there are two types of files in your desktop in which one is xml document and the other one is compressed xml document (might be winrar archiver). Then, ftp these two files into your root folder in your hosting account. Then this is the critical part, if you're using filezilla, right click on the files that you've ftp just now and select file permission. Then, in the CHMOD (numeric value), write the number 666 and then click ok. After that, go to your wp dashboard, activate the plugin and build the sitemap for the first time.
