I think that its amazing to see somebody who can access the internet and at the same time believe that marriage of a 10 year old is not only acceptable, but also positive.

To conclude I just hope that Islam will join judaism, hinduism, shikh, druze, scientologists, mormons, bahai, catholicism, buddhist, protestants, and ANY other religion on earth and ban marriages with 10 year olds, although mohammed did it. I
'm sure that a modern interpretation can "explain" this terrible thing and make it suitable with the knowledge and sociology of the 21th century.

16 years old man (child in the west) was a leader of an army that goes to the Roman Empire.

This child was great because of the touch of Mohammad, peace be upon him.

Don't insult the Roman Empire, it was powerful and great, but the touch of Mohammad was more great and converted little things to Big ones.

We can see now that Mohammad is the true Super Man, so all people love to stay with him.

Well... It not really a matter of choice but rather confusion. Personally, I don't pay much attention to the islamphobes on this forum and their (mostly) dumb arguments, however, I have always been astonished that so many people could follow a religion based on the ramblings on one man. George Bush said during his presidency that God talk to him. No one (normal) believes him. If mohammed was alive today no one would believe him either.

 

For example, if I came to the occupied Palistine (Israel) with my duaghter, I would search for a noble and handsom man and marry off my daughter for him so that when I die there, my daughter will be protected by her hasband.

I don't prefere adoption, because I like my daughter to be mine and to carry my name and to be pride rather than a child.

Of course, it need a noble man to understand me and accept her in that manner, and this is what I want, a noble merciful man.

 

What about what your daughter wants???? Tell me something, why do you think you need to marry her off in the first place? Why does she have to be married? In otherwords, what is the purpose or motive behind getting her married?

 

Interesting, to me. Does anyone else not see a similarity, the kind of blissful language, slumber in an idealized dream?

I recall reading medieval reportage, literally a kind of early journalism, on German peasants - the language used was very much the blissful language of children, when the universe was scripted, ordered and set in place by a divine agency acting in the minutae of daily life. Interesting, to me, the mind-process that takes place, how the language really shows their simple worldview, unaffected by life as it was (damned "nasty, brutish and short," in the case of the average German smallholder or peasant).

Sadly, my interest stops at the door of human abuse, here and now, with monsters taking children into their bloody maw, to chew them up and spit them out as permanently damaged beings.

 

I got it. I've been raised to be pedo-friendly because I happen to be from a Muslim family.. damn me. It was never NATURAL for any man to like young women. All girls from all over the world have the same educational opportunity and will graduate college. They mature at the exact age of 18.

Thank god for the fairness to all girls all across the globe. There was never child rape or little girls dying from starvation.

By your own admission, you would wish those of us with a serious issue with this are to be considered "closed minded."

The issue is believing it's right and good to have sex with children, aged 7-10. The issue is treating women and girls with less dignity than a head of cattle. The issue is whether this is systematically, institutionally justified by reliance on some asshole cleric who says it's okey-dokey, or by some piece of paper that says it's swell.

I also think that 16 is the perfect age of consent for females.
