Actually, he/it is a god. But he is not the Almighty God. Buddha is just a person that was/is worshipped. Basically, anyone/anything that is worshipped is a god of some type.
No offence taken. Actually, I spend quite a lot of time teaching others about what the Bible really teaches, and that keeps me away from home quite a bit.
Actually, I am anything but ignorant, I am merely trying to get people to answer the question as to why their religion is always the correct one and other people are wrong since that seems to be what the majority of people on this forum think from reading past posts and threads. I want to know why people believe that today's religions are correct and past religions are mythology, since there is no real scientific proof either way.
Most people like to believe what they have been taught. Its the tribal mentality that pervades humanity. my tribe, religion, nation is better than any other. I picked Taoisim by choice because I know it is closest to the truth I was brought up in a catholic enviroment but I know it is not accurate. I also understand what Judisim, Hinduisim, Bhudisim and Taoisim are both working on. I know what is bull and what is not, at a deeper level. The idea that religion is right or wrong is again a dualisim. there are truth and lies in every religion. I Understand something, Something I cant fully explain yet alone prove. Its a matter of Faith. Look Within.
This is Budhdha: And i don't choose for others their god, their religion or what so ever, i just try to explain but never mind i guess it's not worth that.
> Question: What is a god? God is used to be a great teacher with great knowledge. He/she tought man what was wrong, what was right, and what the man should or shouldn't do while legal system didn't exist. It was first, the royal blood lines who needs to control their people. They made up the philosophy of God, wrote the holy book, and regarded it the highest power above anything. Man had to unquestionably obey the book, or he'll be executed in public as a bad model. From generation to generation, people have learnt enough that they mustn't question the book, and anyone questions it is a "jacka55", "out group", etc. Now, laws are god for me. I must obey it or i'll be punished. I don't live in a wacked-up society, so i'm not forced to do what i don't want to. "God can do anything even create the heaviest mountain that he cannot lift."
If you look closely, these holy books often plagarize the others. Maybe you don't even notice there're same books, modified names, similar storyline, but different religions.
None of them is correct, and which one is the original doesn't matter. Since one's judgement is culturally biased, ethnocentrism will kick in. Then such discussion would be pointless.
the word God is created by humans, i dnt even know wat it would it be in reality who has created this world, these are things beyond out imagination, there are few people in this world who know things wat they were in their last birth i cant define god i can just describe it!
Great minds think alike. Imagine if there were one true god, what would happen to the people of other religions? What happens to the non-religious guy like me? Come on, i would have been punished by the god. But here I am safe and sound for decades! God is just what you imagine, 'nouf said. Now come and make money online using logics not god!
