Banned site re-indexed in google

    Hello there,

I recently purchased a domain that I later found out was banned by google two years ok.

After emailing google and showing them that the domain now is not holding illegal content etc they have un-banned it. My site is now getting crawled but i am still not appearing in ANY google searches at all?

Do you think this will change with next update? Im indexed, getting crawled by google regularly and can see the backlinks but searching my sites URL in google get 0 results??

Never had a banned domain before any one shed some light?

    Thanks

I had the same thing happen 3 years ago. The site was reindexed and crawled. But never ranked for anything significant, never had PR (always PR0).. I pretty much gave up on it. Shame too its a nice domain name.

Well, now started crawling means some good sighn......better do promotion for a period of time and then check it the result.. if some improvement then continue otherwise drop it.. I do not know the penalized domain after index also rank well and also m sure it will take some more time than new domain

Google webmaster centre offers website re-inclusion tool. once your website request has been done in google webmaster tool it will take 1 or 2 week to resolve the problem..........but before applying your website you have to remove all problems by which your website had come under penalization.

www..unicora.com is the domain and so far just aiming at limited keywords 'Unicora' and 'hampshire web design', I don't have many BLs but should have enough to rank top for 'Unicora'

I have not done any proper SEO as of yet as was waiting to be re-included

Keep on it, keep getting backlinks, and just be patient. You've already got 12 pages indexed in Google, so it's just a matter of time before you start reappearing for your target keywords.

First of all, being crawled and indexed doesn't mean your domain is no longer under a penalty. The ban may have been lifted, but replaced with a lesser penalty. Penalized websites get crawled and indexed just like regular websites; the only difference is that they don't do well in the search results.

In your case, however, I'm not sure if it is a penalty, since your website doesn't appear in Yahoo! either. Usually, if a site does reasonably well in Yahoo! but is completely out of sight in Google, then it means Google penalized or banned your domain. In your case, it's hard to tell, because Yahoo treat you the same as Google.

You will be back in the listing, but you have to wait. It will take time.
