    Hey guys,

I tried to find an appropriate forum to post my question but I did not find any forum for software. All forums are web related. so I ask my question here.

I am manager of a glass processing factory and I deal with lots of customers with different orders. Now everything is getting out of my control.
My accountants have accounting software but I think I need another software to deal with production issue.
For example amount of orders, the process of production and ...
So I will have to work with lots of data, and I should extact some statistics out of those data to see how my business is going on.

I am thinking about excel. But I am not a fan of Microsoft !
    Any alternative?
    Any suggestion?

what is the best data management software?

    Thanks for your help,

Yes i am a builder and i use Desk Quote Professional, you can see what stage the job is at,,how much you made/or lost, keeps all you invoices, customers details, suppliers details, and who done what, and how long it took, the software was written by Andrew Pringle to run his business,in short it was written by a business man to run his business, and its easy to use,he actually runs his own factory and uses this software to keep tabs on customers and orders.
