I think thumbnail of sites make it slower, people want a quick result, and not found, then move to next page or try a new search.

    Good luck :)

Maybe you can add option for users to show results with thumbnails, or without it .

@ziya - yes I will be using this option within the next major release.

@bluebenz - I agree. People do want quick results but most people have fast connections, but I guess I should also consider these people as well.

I will be releasing major updates on Wednesday to the engine ( where going to start adding functionality ). It's going to be a fun surprise so I would really like your guys opinion on it. So once it's done I guess I will post it here to let you know.

I'm still taking suggestions and comments on the engine. What would you improve. What would you take away?
I also am still considering Orkbo.com over seekit so if you go to SeekIt.ws you might find a different logo (Orkbo)

Well it does if you go to http://www.orkbo.com you will see that it is with the domain name. There use to be a logo for seekit but now there is not. As I think SeekIt.ws is officially ruled out... But still debating it.

Very nice simple search engine. The domain would have GREAT potential if you used it as a proxy website because you really can't compete with these major search engines. The domain sounds GREAT for a proxy search website.

Well actually this is going to be a feature that we implement in our search engine. This is one of the many features that is going to set us apart from the rest of the search engines.

For example ( Although not working as of yet )

    proxy:http://www.orkbo.com/

Now I know it is going to be hard to compete with Google, Yahoo, Bing and all the others but thats okay. I'm not really worried about it making money as of yet. I just want to create something I can be proud of and use on a regular basis. Which I also hope other users can do the same.

I have revised a few items on the search engine. I have changed the algorithm slightly. But it is going to change more in the future. I have to create another filter as the last one I had was spitting out duplicate content and still is in some cases.

    Thanks in advance
    http://www.seekit.ws

Please ignore the domain as it is the testing one, so the domain and logo might not match.

Since my last post I noticed that the results where not being displayed in IE. It wasn't IE this time it was the code. It has been fixed and should now work. I'm still working on removing the duplicate entries that some how just appeared. It should be done by this afternoon. I also will be implementing our video component as well as Wikipedia by tomorrow.

    Thanks

What's your query? -- I know a few queries break it but we are working on it now.
