Yup...and the logo really needs work.....i would suggest something within the google colors to make it look more google like without trying to copy exactry...... So basically, make it look like an extension of the real one the most you can...well that's form a $$ point of view....
I haven't voted, but if I did I would not give it top marks: 1) because I don't like the logo. 2) because its a copy of another product. 3) the info "Total energy saved: 151 kWh" is incorrect.
There are a couple of things. I doesn't work as well as the blackle logo. You could make it look a lot better. Plus you don't like taking criticism about it, so its hard to advise you.
You are kidding right ? It is the exact same thing ! Looks the same to me. Looks the same to everyone else. Same Concept. Same Design. Same Idea. Same Gimmick. Same Rip Off. Where do you any difference that the average consumer, or surfer would notice ?
You are right about the gimmick because the power saved is a false claim. There was a small study done about it on the original blackle.
First off this took you all of 5 minutes to create. Why would you think someone would want to abandon google for another site that only shows googles results. I think your demograpic would be goth people. I don't personally like black backgrounds. It is proven that black promotes negativity and sadness. Why would you want to make your visitors feel sad Now I'm not telling you to give up. No! Not by a long shot. If this is something you truely want to do. I suggest you take your time on creating something thats solid before you launch something like this. Can I see this site become popular? Well, yes & no. Anything can become popular. But it's going to take hard work. And the first thing you have to realize is that this is your business its what you do. This is your job your job is to make all your customers (vistors) happy. Don't worry about critisim. In fact you should really take critisim as a good thing. It helps improve your product. As I always say If no one ever complained nothing would ever change.
Maybe 10% of us like this website now so i don't need to change anything. but the problem is how can I tell 500/10= 50 million English speaking customers tell about this website? The problem is is don't have any budget for advertising... :S
