difference between dofollow and nofollow

any one knows what is the difference between dofollow and nofollow

 

dofollow gets followed, nofollow doesn't.

Actually there's no such thing as dofollow, it's just a jargon term to indicate that a nofollow tag hasn't been applied.
nofollow is a tag introduced by google, that is also respected by yahoo, to inform search engines that the site that link is placed on is not 'endorsing' that link and does not want it it to be counted as a 'vote' for the algorithm.

 

Google does not give any type of respect to Nofollow links. This way other ones are do follow links

 

If you get a nofollow link from a site then it doesn't hold any value for you in terms of pr share & increase in the number of backlinks, the only advantage would be that it can bring direct visitors to your site from there & if it is a frequented page or site, you can see a flow of visitor traffic from that link.....

 

Dofollow - Site linked get's followed, get's indexed, and does get PR juice, as it receives a vote.

Nofollow - Site linked get's followed, get's indexed, but doesn't get PR juice, as it won't receive a vote.

 

No follow means Search Engine not index that link those follow by tag "no follow" and do follow means index link by Search Engine, i think no follow link give only traffic and do follow for both traffic and also help full for increassing Page Rank as well Help in getting good SERP!!!

 

You're wrong. Nofollow just means no PR juice, but the site get's indexed and followed by Google.

 

DOFOLLOW = This will follow the site which is inside the anchor text, as well as, PR and other factors of the page/site will be passed to referred site + backlink.

NOFOLLOW = The site inside anchor text will NOT be followed and PR or other factors will not be considered for referred site, however, it will be counted as a VOTE/backlink for referred site.

 

Nofollow are for not crawling a link by search engine. Dofollow allow search engine to crawl links.

maybe for make more clear, I have opinion for share...
Dofollow is system which can give outbound links from one site and will give in bound links for another site.
(This system very useful, and Google will index link from dofollow site)

Nofollow is not give inbound link to our site although we have add our link at nofollow site.

 

no follow links are not considered to be backlinks by google. they dont help us in getting PR. It is an other case that they can get traffic

you can get do follow backlinks , which are good enough to get a google PR

 

Search Engine Spiders/Web Crawlers don't follow the ones that has a rel of nofollow... they default to follow the rest links... the ones that don't specify "nofollow"

 

dofollow link followed by google and take into consideration while no follow link will not follow by google.

 

Nofollow is still worth something!

 

Put it in a simply way, do follow means follow this link, whilr no follow means, do follow that link, I just mention it but i don't recommed it.

I think this forum is an example of nofollow when you see the code it has a rel=nofollow in signature part. Anyways you get a lot of benefits when you are building link in dofollow specially those social bookmarks that do follow.
