Hello everybody I am planning to launch a new website. I have little idea on everything. I just wanted to know what kind of websites attract traffic quickly and attracts huge traffic. I know unique content drives traffic of course but what else? and what kind of website ? Thanks
Hm...What your asking is kind of hard to respond to. It's kind of like asking, what website is going to make me a million bucks. An idea though would be a site that has thousand of pages. An example would be a shopping comparison site. It will have thousands and thousands of product pages which means more pages getting indexed and should give you more traffic.
Why would I tell you? I mean, if I knew all of this for certain, I would start the site myself! Sorry, but it's all about trial and error. Can't help you here, m8.
The quick answer is really "none". Unless you are just lucky your website regardless of what niche you are in will need to be worked on in an effort to put it at the top of the search engines and marketed to get people interested in it.
I think alot of IMs get too hung up on the volume of traffic and lose sight of the fact that it's much better to have targetted, hungry buyers coming to your site, even if they are in smaller quantities. You should be able to make decent money in any number of niche markets and, if you use the right marekting techniques and work smartly, you can get the quality traffic you need. In answer to your question, though, good niches to be in at the moment include weight loss, fitness, work at home opportunities, making money online, etc, etc, etc. Take you pick but make sure you research the niche properly before jumping in. I would say a website that is targetted at teenagers that is not a sales oriented website will create the most traffic the fastest. It does not matter what the idea behind the website is, if a teenager thinks it is a good idea then they will get straight on to the internet and tell every contact they have about your website especially if it is a website they can interact with somehow.
As many people already have mentioned, it's hard and useless to answer "what kind of websites attracts people". I can tell you that a website containing nude pictures of Jennifer Aniston would create millions of click over night. But that doesn't really help if you don't have any pictures... You should rather ask yourself "what kind of website can I create that will create traffic." Where does your talent lie and what do you enjoy doing? Quality content is mainly the key to a successfull website. There is always traffic.
