How can send fake email with old date.

example with date: 2007/05/18

 

Set the date/time of your computer or server to when you would like stated on the email.

 

How can set server date?

 

Why would anybody want to send fake dated emails, unless they are up to no good or sending out spam!

 

I'm afraid there is no actual way of sending emails with fake date. Even if you set your server date incorrectly, most mail servers uses their own datetime as the acknowledged time flag. You would have to change the date on the receiving server in order to be able to do what you want.

But then again, that's just my humble opinion...

 

Agreed. The correct time date information would be in the server logs as well.

 

Also that will appear alongwith the recent mail bunch at the inbox not with the older mail.

Why would you do that anyway? Is there any good reason at all?

 

Telnet directly to port 25 for smtp. All the date, subject, from, etc. that usually appear on your email full header can be faked. Not gonna say any more than that though, because it all depends on your intention, if it's for learning it's all good but not otherwise. (I just realized vista don't enable telnet command by default!)
