It's been months I have added my site, it's not yet listed in Rebol's Category.

My Blog is now an authority website which is even linked to by the CEO of Rebol.com Blog, so I merit to be on DMOZ now no ? :)

Or maybe DMOZ is dead seams very inactive website ?

How long have you waited for it to appear?

I've found that website SEO is a waiting game at times!

The Amiga causes an enormous shock among the users. The computer is so advanced for its time that even the marketing department of Commodore does not know what they are up to. The computer integrates almost everything: Video, graphic and sound chips. Also external sound and video sources can be connected to this machine. The operating system of the Amiga is designed by Carl Sassenrath and also advanced for its time: multi tasking environment, graphical user interface.

being an Authority anything has positively NOTHING to do with the ODP...for one, they are not an authority site themselves, after all, they are more prone to list a syndicated website affiliated with an editor, or a geocities page then something that has top notch information. Is your site unique? Does it interest the end user? These are questions that the editors will ask you publicly... if you want the private questions you'll need to check out sites like ScriptLance ;)

However, the alternate key to submit and forget is FORGET TO SUBMIT... as the wait time is about the same in most cases *smirk*

DMOZ doesn't list authority website it actually removes them if they happened to have been listed years ago - who cares about one of the kind, most detailed websites covering relevant topic on the internet, they don't get any traffic from DMOZ anyway so no point in having them listed. :p

Your site has little chance or none, unless you have some kind of relation$hip with a DMOZ editor.

Not to mention there are only 3000+ active editors left from 7000+ back in 2006 before the crash, and from what I can see there is only one editor left who can cover entire programing tree (not counting metas and editalls but their numbers are getting lower also http://www.dmoz.org/edoc/editall.html).

Whenever they will awake they will check, most the time they use to sleep, means they have long lists of submissions so they take their time.

You mean there was 4,000 editors who finally grasped that being slaves is not big fun after all?

Not that it has anything to do with this, but that Amiga history snippet is written in pretty crappy English. The first sentence isn't even a proper sentence.

Anyway these DMOZ bashing threads are getting a bit tedious. It's the same old posts saying how DMOZ is dying and slow and how nobody cares about it anymore, a sentiment that is in opposition with the amount of threads people keep starting about it and posting in - as if some DMOZ editor's going to be reading the thread and go 'Oh my God, you're right. I'll fix it all up to your liking right away.'

I think when it comes to DMOZ and posting in threads like this, you've obviously mistaken them for somebody that cares.

Well, that's 50% true. In some point we know they won't change DMOZ after reading threads about DMOZ here. But for some reason they keep coming to reply here! Isn't it weird?
