Honor killing is a cultural thing carried out by numerous societies throughout the world. Yes, many of those are muslims who come from within such society. This article suggests that it was something devised or mandated by the religion itself. This is pure bullsh!t. In the last decade I recall four cases (there may have been more) of honor killing in Canada. Two were sikhs relatives of the victim(s), another was muslim family and the last case was a family who fled Afghanastan in the 80s. Were they muslim? Danged if I know. The woman certainly didnt look like a typical afghani muslim.. (Modern clothing. No burqa, hejab or what ever.) Study honor killing history. If you want to focus on muslim countries go ahead but look deep into the history and you will find that it existed way way before mohammed crawled out of his goats tent and started a process that conned 1 billion+ people in believing he talked to some angelic spirit. In San Diego and Los Angeles there are also large muslim communities who are very moderate in their ways. Ive never seen them disrespect their women or force them to wear hijabs.

The reporter may be a blithering idiot for all I know. Not the point. The point is that the practitioners of "the religion of peace" seem a tad more prone to cold-bloodedly murder their daughters for "honor" than ... ohh... Methodists. Even if the practice is a cultural thing that exists in Muslim communities without being *caused* by Islam... I'm pretty sure most in the west would rather not be associated with a religion where it's even marginally acceptable. We'd feel a lot better about Islam if we heard Muslims saying "that's an absurd stoneage practice carried out by total imbeciles that need to stay the hell away from our Mosques... honor killing should result in swift and harsh punishment of those doing it".
