How many keywords do you usually target in each article you write?

I use the same up to 5 keywords and I also use keyword phrases instead of using exact keywords.

When you outsource your articles, what do do put in the requirements as to where each of those keywords should appear in the article?

0.5 to 1% of total words is ideal IMO.

I agree, but I don't think they were referring to keyword density.

    Hello all,
I usually find that what is more important than the actual number of keywords, is the research you do beforehand to find competitive keywords/phrases.

When you do come up with your phrases, then it is important that you use them in the tilte, and first paragraph. Try to use your selected phrases(maximum of four) through the article.

I think that if you can use keywords associated with your website, then the backlinks are valued higher by the search engines, and you will be ranked higher.

As far as keyword research is concerned, I really do try to find search phrases which have a serch volume greater than 300 per month, and with results under 50000.

When you said 5000, thats phrase match... right?

Why is everyone telling me keyword density, I wasn't asking for keyword density. Someone must have answered wrong and everyone fallowed...lol
