I started using their service yesterday. I favorited 94 sites and gave 30 reviews. The problem is I didn't know I shouldn't submit own pages. I submited 10 pages and now I can not submit anymore own pages. I don't have problem with that I can not submit my pages any more but the bigger problem is that domain was probably penalized and I am worried I won't received so much traffic anymore. How much time do you think penalization can remain? Another question: Is it allowed to use company name as username? Thank you
I submitted my jokesite last january I submitted at 3 different times then the fourth was denied could not submit but the site is still getting from su about 3 thousand page views a day still the user's are the ones thats keeps the site going. so if you have good pages the user's will thumb it up and then your site will do the same as mine. - Stumbleupon (Social Bookmark) 68710 this is what I have from su this month so far On the company name i would not advise to use it
did you notice any decrease whan it happend? Because I noticed a post when somebody said he immediately get 500% less traffic (not sure what he meant).
Well after the first 2 pages it did settle down but it has been steady and when a new page is hit it will go up to 10,000 page views that day then back down to 3,000
I'm not getting any traffic from StumbleUpon. I just like to use it when I want to waste time and have nothing better to do. StumbleUpon traffic is also very tech savvy and looking for nothing in particular, so most of the people that visit your site through StumbleUpon are not going to be of much value to you anyways, so don't worry about them. Keep looking for other ways to market.
I'm not entirely sure that this is the case with StumbleUpon, but with most bookmarking sites they let you start posting your own sites again after you've done a certain amount of other people's sites. -Danielle
