I think my IP address has been banned from Digital Points server, my account isn't banned and I have had no warnings.

I cant access the forum or the website, I have had to use a proxy to make this post!

    I need my daily fix!

The only reason I can see this happened, is that i usually have 20 digital point tabs open and saved, so when firefox loads up, it may be making more requests than the server allows?

Any advice? will the IP ban be lifted? (its been almost 24 hours)

I am located in England on a fixed IP address.

A few users in the UK have reported that. We are not blocking though, so not sure at what point in your route it's being blocked. But it's definitely someone else blocking you guys, not us.

Thanks for the quick feedback, I will just access digital point remotely from my office in Thailand. I will try and investigate.

    Cheers

I'm with Virgin, and I have no problems, so it may be localized to your area.

    Have you contacted virginmedia?

I'm on Virgin Media and have never had blocking problems (they are not a great ISP though). You should try calling them if you can bear the pain of it.

Pretty sure it's something specific to Virgin Media in the UK because everyone reporting it is on that ISP.

OK thanks, I would make a call, but I am staying at a friends and I don't have account details.

They will probably do what they usually do and start getting us to unplug router.

You will have to call them.

As Peter said, it is a horrific experience. Even for simple things you will be on hold for ages, get someone who knows less about the internet that you, doesn't understand what DP is, doesn't know what a proxy is etc. just make sure you dont call them when you have somewhere to be later that day.

Its been 8 days for me so far at least, there seems to be nothing we can do, I am using openDNS etc.

I have tried everything, I will be going back to Thailand soon, but i could do with getting it fixed for the next week.

For the last few days I have been unable to access digitalpoint at all. Even now, I cannot access any part of the website without using a proxy.
I have tried accessing using IE, Firefox and Chrome.

In Chrome I get this message:
This web page is not available.

The web page at null might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Obviously I don\\\\\\\'t want to have to go through a proxy. I didn\\\\\\\'t even realise the site was still online till today when I realised Dp can\\\\\\\'t possibly be offline for so long.

Any idea what this problem might be?
