if a non-american or someone writes BROKEN English (bad grammar), what will you do? i . don't mind. he/she is not american ii. really feel perturbed. never want to read his/her writing again i or ii?
I generally ignore it and go merrily on my way. I'm not really into grammar or spelling. Wait... what?
If I were American or from any English speaking country, I believe I wouldn't mind as long as they don't use it for formal purpose/work. Many people have tried great effort in learning the international language. The natives should respect their confidence too.
Well I wouldn't hire them to write articles unless their English was great. I will generally ignore bad grammar but often I will point out their mistakes so that they can improve upopn it. English is an international language.
World Pop: 6700 million English Speakers: 1800 million (27%) Native English Speakers: 500 million (7.5%) Native Chinese Speakers: 1300 million Native Hindu/Urdu Speakers: 550 million English Is NOT an international language.
haaahaa I will bold the highest number there... I am not here for debate. English IS an international language. People from all over the world are on this forum and using English to communicate...
I agree. And I would expect to be treated the same way if I were to go to any other country that doesn't speak English as their first language.
I will not mind it and pass him to Kerosene lol ... Well i m myself not a native English speaker and most of the people here on DP don't even write good English so neva mind and just try to understand what they want to say
I get annoyed when someone is really bad at English, especially in spoken English. Dunno why this is.
I get quite aggravated and like to give them a hard time; http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1475767 <---- Example; painful if you are like me. I'm more irritated by it when they try to argue with me in broken English, especially when I can't understand their "comebacks". ("i clone dna ??" WTF does that mean?) On a side note, I'm starving.
I ignore it if I don't need to read it. Though if i really do need to read a post that has broken english, it would be a horrible experience.
