Hi, i have the PR update mod ,... i believe from DirectorySpy.com, it stopped working, and so did the inbuilt page rank script of phpLD! i seem to be getting -1 for all sites with both the scripts?!!! is this my server, or anyone else experienceing the same? any known solutions? M.
Where is your site hosted? Run any other PR script, it is possible that Google Magic quote may have changed that requires your script to be updated. Here is a standalone script you may try from phpfuncs.org
I am running a PR update script from JagoHarry.co.uk and I have also been having problems over the last 2-3 weeks. About half of the PR checks come back as -1.
site is hosted at hostdime.com, ... tried various scripts on the net, none work, getting a 403 error on all.... wonder why google doesnt push page rank checker sites,.... they seem to be working fine!!! M.
My bet is that whatever source you are using to update directories has banned your IP. Try another source or try a different IP would be my suggestion. Maybe cut down on the number of updates you are doing each day. If you are consistently updating 1000 from 1 source every day they will see that and ban your IP.
@Humm; really dont know it doesnt say version anywhere, .. the one for phpLD2.1.2 i usually use the PR updater once in 3 to 4 months,... and yes i tried changing datacenters,... no help there..,, even tried a whole diffrent block,... nothing! seems like an IP ban, ... is an IP ban permanent? M.
If you are on shared hosting - it may not be your fault at all - as someone else could have led to a similar ban. Have you tried to debug the script / check response code from Google to investigate further?
I have tried different IPs but I always get the same result. About 50% of the PRs are returned as -1. The rest are fine.
Lets wait for 10 days I guess for things to get normal. I have tested something and PR updater does work. Its a problem at Google's end.
Our directories don't have any problems with PR checkers but then again, we are using different checker script than you are. fastreplies
May want to read this paragraph from googles webmaster guidelines. I would say a page rank checker that sends programmatic or automatic queries to google could be a problem.
