What's Up With The Content Network

I'm reaching the end of my tether with adwords after 3 years.

I'm experiencing huge fluctuations in the content network for the past few weeks. One day, I get 12000 clicks, then the next 2500, then the next 12500, then the next 2000, etc.

I don't know why - no changes have been made to the campaign. This is really affecting my sales badly.

Anybody have similar experiences? Possible reasons?

Did you figure out a reason for this?

nope, I'll have like 24,000 impressions from search and like 6 from content network and I've been trying to get the content network going because I've heard the conversions can be pretty good but I have no idea why I can't

You've heard that conversions are good from the content network? You can get cheap clicks... that much is true, but please, let me know what these things are that convert on the content network. I've tried the content network in the past and had almost no success at all.

Do you have your campaigns setup with the proper keywords to trigger the content? I've used the content network but the CPA was way to high to sustain the campaign. Is your product something you sell globally or locally? As you may know the content network can be setup for geographic locations.

This could be for several reasons, if it is a competitive niche, the fluxuations could be from new people creating and/or deleting campaigns

depending on the niche too different days of the week get different traffic.. are the traffic fluxations consitant from week to week?

Have you tried contacting Google by phone about this? I know that getting help from them can be a little like screaming for aid in an abandoned building in a deserted neighborhood, but if you call them you can get a bit of a better response. At least that's been my experience.

They don't take calls anymore unless you are a heavy hitter. I am now spending $500 to $1000 a day on AdWords and they will not let me have a phone number. The number I used to use to speak to reps now asks for an extension number, which I do not have and they will not supply me with one. I have been told "telephone support is not in our model". Do you know something I don't, SCIMEDIA?
