Marketing a pre-launch page

Hey guys,

This is a little different from marketing a normal website, I have this pre-launch site: http://www.premiumscripts.com (a PHP script store launching soon)

All it contains now is a signup form (hence a pre-launch page). I'm basically offering a discount on my scripts for people that sign up before launch.

How would you go about marketing such a site?

 

Depending on the keyword on the launch, I will do these:

1) Content marketing and try to dominate Google's first page with all sorts of content
2) Yahoo, MSN PPC campaign, as they ignore landing pages
3) Press release

Best:
4) JV with people who have an email list.

 

No offense, but there is really nothing there for a user to give you their e-mail address.

Agree. Give people a reason why they should give you their email address. Even if you can get your site marketed, but once they're on your site, they won't sign up unless there is something in there for them.

 

Well, I'm already offering a discount on launch for those that sign up. What more could I give them? I suppose I could do a little giveaway contest as well.

 

You need to have a Privacy Policy if you are collecting email adresses.
