I started off with a new site 3 weeks back. Bought a new Domain and hosting from Fatcow. My Problems Are : 1) I have changed my title name, meta description, keywords, etc.. or in short you may say i have moved to a new niche a week back, but when i search for my keyword on google, i'm 2nd on the SERPs but it shows my old title, description,etc.. I'm worried because my old niche and new niche are totally different. What do i do? Will Google change and update it automatically? Do i have to Resubmit my site to google? If yes, will i have to start all over again considering indexed pages and so on? 2) The seoquake toolbar i have shows my domain aged July 24th 2001?? WTF??
I would put on another site a link pointing to the site with the proper anchor text. This way Google sees it from a different angle. Can you check awstats or other stat program that shows spiders? I would see if Google has even been there for a while.
i see on Google Webmaster tools that the site was crawled yesterday, sitemap was submitted and accepted, ekywords were refreshed, all yesterday. Don't tell me it'll be like this forever?
It should take too long now, at least to be removed from the old listing, but don't expect to show up for new keywords right away.
If Google crawl your site it doesn't mean it crawled all your pages. I think also you just need to wait. I am sure your title will appear correctly, it is just a matter of time.
Ok, is there anything else that can be done to do it quicker, like maybe resubmitting my site to google? The page i'm talking about here is my main/index page. The site is http://techfrog.org/ And any answers for the second question.
I'm sure Google is doing it's job and the result you wanted to see is yet not showing, but soon will, you just have to wait and make some new backlinks with your latest keyword/title..
Try to submit it in stumbleupon which is 100% guaranteed that your site update will be refresh on their google cached in less than a week.
