I really liked your search engine. It loaded quickly and I was really pleased with the results. Especially the thumbnail image. I might start using it from now on!!!!
You awesome! -- Thanks so much. I will be working on adding new features to make it more appealing. I hope to add local search as well as have a question search answering engine ( I hope that makes sense ). Along with a lot more features that would take me forever to mention here. But thank you so much for visiting.
That is very good! What language did you use? Did you write this yourself? If so, I'd like to know more!
Know this isn't a purchased script. I coded all by my lonesome. I programmed it in ColdFusion which was rather easy. But I'm working on a lot more features.... Once again thanks so much for reviewing. Any questions you might have just pm me.
nice one pretty much like it, and were do the related searches come from, i am building a forums search engine so it will be quite usefull
To answer the question about the related searches. Yahoo! has a related search API that I used to develop our related searches. The one on the site is currently just very basic. I will be adding a smart filter ( at least thats what I'm going to call it ) to filter out really long suggestions, and a few other things. I should have clarified a little bit better about where results are generated from. Results are pulled in and will eventually pull in from Google, Ask, Yahoo, and Bing! -- The algorithm I have written to determine what goes where is great... But still needs work. It also caches the queries for 14 days ( in my experience SERP doesn't change over night. ) so I thought it would be effective to store results so I wouldn't have to keep sending request to all of the engines. ( maybe I should have said my new MetaSearch engine ) and it would also speed up our query time as well. I think I covered all the questions that where asked, if I didn't I'm sorry please PM me. About the design. This design isn't the final design. It's going to be much much much much better. It also is going to have lots and lots more features. But all in good time. Take care
I really like it. Nice job. I dont like the .ws domain though, a simple .com would be a lot better even if you have to combine two words. I like the thumbnails.
amazing work, and nice, clean format (like another search engine started many years ago...) So are you saying you combine the indexes from yahoo, bing, and google, and then tweak them? Interesting results. Seems like you only provide one page of 10 results...
