The site loads fast, however, you need to fix some basic layout. Even on 1280x768 resolution, I have to scroll to the right as the 4th column is only partially visible. Even a little layout issue can make your site look unprofessional. Also, your top google ads placement is not aligned with anything. Next to that little final fantasy logo, the google ads does not look good. I would say, there is nothing special about the layout and design of the site as it stands now. It is simply using the Gallery module BUT the content and the graphics is pretty nice. I am a big FF fan and I totally dig the wallpapers. But, you need to work on the design a bit more. Use one of your wallpapers as the background image and put your layers and divs on top of it, you are obviously into graphics, use some creativity on your site.
Ok, is it a coppermine gallery? Some thoughs on your website: Did you try 4 cols instead of 5? It can get rid of the horizontal bar at the bottom of the browser. Also suggest you to put your tree navigation just below your left hand side google ads, since user needs to scroll down in order to see your navigation, I think that it is not convenient. My .02
