    Hello
Can someone please clear something up me, i'm after a good description of how to optimise for internal linking purposes.

Do i have the same keyword used on each page for that perticular page or do i diversify with different anchor texts. What is the best way to go about internal linking

Sometimes i get confused, if on the page, is the anchortext the word actually read, or is it the word or phrase that is behind the scenes. Someone please help.

    Thank you

    James

The anchor text or tag that goes to a particular page, should be the best and most logical way that describes that page to visitors. I'm not sure what you mean by 'behind the scenes' - there shouldn't be anything on your site that isn't intended for human visitors - on-page seo is merely about ensuring that things are presented in a way that makes it easy for bots to read and understand what the priorities of the page are.
In my forum signature, for example, the anchor text is 'Japanese Toys'. Yours isn't an anchor text, because it doesn't have a link to anything.

For internal linking a good short description (must be related topic, not off-topic) helps users as well as search engines to guess about the link in advance. Now-a-days search engines strictly follow the links of similar topics, specially Google dislikes links from off-topic pages, so keeping a short description of ur internal links can help you be search engine friendly. Assume that you have a website regarding 'business card', and you linked some pages like business card templates, free software from a page, these links should contain some short description like 'choose ur preferred template for business card'.

Digitalpoint allows posters to put an anchor-texted link as their signature - mine is Japanese Toys - click it and it goes to a little ecommerce site I run just for fun.
tumikanton has 3 links and 3 anchor texts - SEO software || Internet Business Promoter || SEO Elite - click them and they go to the sites he's promoting.
You have MENGINEERING THE MIND BODY RELATION as a forum signature, but it's not a hyperlink - it doesn't lead anywhere.
The forum uses bb code rather than html (it's a form of html-lite for boards) To make your sig a link you need to add it like this
*url=http://www.yoursite*MENGINEERING THE MIND BODY RELATION */url*
but replacing the * with square brackets

    Thank you very much

I was just wondering though, that if i have a 50 page website and that one of those pages is lets say about "improving penis positivity" do i choose the keyword text for my hyperlink example.

    Great innnovations for manhood mending

Can i use that statement as my link on 49 of the other pages relating back to that page or do they have to be different. I just thought that keeping them all the same would help benefit from googles spiders and perhaps give that page more value.

Thanks, hope you can make sense of my terrible IT wording

    Kind Regards

    James

Do some keyword research and choose a version of what you want to say that gets some search volume - not too much search volume, then it gets too competitive, but a few thousand a month. There is absolutely no point in giving a prominence in your on-page seo to a term that nobody has ever searched for.

Thanks for your resourceful mind today Magda

Can i tap your well of oil once more, can you suggest a free keyword tool and some instructions.

I tried wordtrackers free one, that only shows search results of 8 and less for terms and then google keywords you have to use exact search and finding those exact matches at few thousand a month is painful.

Just some guidance would be helpful

    Cheers

    James
