I'm juggling this idea and i need some other perspectives to understand if it will work. A wordpress blog where photographers can post slideshows and descriptions of the weddings they have photoraphed, and link to themselves and to vendors at the wedding. We will call it "Site A" As my site increases in traffic, and photographers link TO it, and my site links to the photographer, as well as to vendors, will that most likely lead to serach benefits to the photographers who post their weddings on my site? I was going to have a condition for participating be a link to Site A from each photographers site. Would it be better for a single link be on each photographers site, such as in the blogroll, to "Site A.com" or would it be better for the photographer to link directly to their post at Site A, such as site A.com/myweddingatthechurch.html? I'm sure you can read from my questions that I'm pretty new to all of this. Go easy on me please
I would suggest linking to your home page or the domain root. A new site needs a lot of links to its home page to make it credible. If the links scatter around the site, they may not be as useful as pointing directly to the home page. Good luck!
