Any tricks to get more impressions/clicks on adcenter?

I have a huge keyword list and the traffic only trickles in, maybe 10% of what I get with adwords. This can't be right, as checking alexa.com msn is #2while google is #3, shouldn't they have more traffic than adwords???

Any tricks to getting more traffic?

I think it's just down to the size of their operation.

AdCenter has only rolled out to a limited number of locales so far (the rest are still syndicating sponsored search listings from YSM), also they have no partner sites & no content network. So, even though msn.com is comparable is size to google.com, the actual Google network is FAR bigger.

Google uses a content network to widen the exposure of your listings. MSN is just rolling out, so:

A - people aren't used to seeing sponsored listings on MSN, and may be hesistant to click

    B - they aren't using a content match network

    Just some guesses

MSN Search is far smaller than google - so your ad is shown to a lot less people. (MSN Search has something like 16% of the search market) and their users tend to be the least tech savvy (not hard core users like google).

MSN only show 8 ads per page.

MSN doesn't have a content network like Yahoo or Google.

MS adCenter hasn't rolled out for the UK yet; all sponsored listings are syndicated from YSM still at the moment.

if msn is used less it is more likely that you will be getting less traffic from them when you use adcenter.
