    Mostly people make facebook account to market their services and product online. I think that is why he needs facebook friends.

    There is a few applications to "add more friends" with mass email lists then add through your email netting me 40 odd new friends every week taking forever to get too 1000....

    Same here, I only add people I know, and around less than 10 who are actually my online friends. :p Might consider creating another account just for marketing though. :rolleyes: What is it that the thread starter wants to do? :l

    I read on CNN today re: types of Facebook users ...

    The Friend-Padder. The average Facebook user has 120 friends on the site. Schmoozers and social butterflies -- you know, the ones who make lifelong pals on the subway -- might reasonably have 300 or 400. But 1,000 "friends?" Unless you're George Clooney or just won the lottery, no one has that many. That's just showing off.
