Is this HTML SEO compatible?

See HTML on this page and am asking if I were to configure a site with pages running similar HTML, would the site lend itself to SEO compatibility and get spidered by the bots properly?
Yay or Nay appreciated + feedback. Mainly want to offer images to scroll through, in a similar manner like on this page, but also want the HTML to get found & indexed properly . . .

I can't even see any meta tag, nor keywords.

I think your html is fine, as long as you optimize each page correctly, you shouldn't have any issues with the pages getting picked up by the search engines.

Be sure to fill in the alt attribute for each image, and you'll be good.

Another thing that may help you out a bit more, is if you have some content surrounding the image, a nav menu or something to that effect. You don't need a ton of content, but just a little bit to help make the user experience a little better.

Yups I too have checked, there are no meta tags, keywords, meta desc.

You have to setup your ONSITE SEO properly first :)

It was my understanding that dinrock was asking about a site that was going to be built like this example. There is more to look at than just the meta tags when it comes to ranking well. You want to be sure that your page is optimized well, yes. You also want to make sure that you don't have an excessive amount of scripting, like Java for example. Since (to the best of my knowledge) Java isn't parsed by Google spiders, you can see a negative impact from having too much script, and not enough indexed content.

So, having said that, I will say again, the code is fine. As long as you optimize each page appropriately, you will be indexed just fine by Google.

Thanking everyone in advance for your creative input on this. I was actually going to place that PHOTO GALLERY FUNCTION itself, on an already optimized page....in essence, see this sample page here, where all those unnecessary thumbs would be replaced with the basic function on this page.
I should have stipulated this in the beginning....sorry. It is just my concern if that type of functionalty could be incorporated into my page without it interferring with the SEO of the page itself . . . . GREAT INPUT. Thank you
(btw: anyone know a good gallery software that displays one at a time?)
