Im looking for a webhost for my myspace resource site, I was thinking either Bluehost, Dreamhost or Godaddy. Can someone recommend a webhost for those kinds of sites? Im currently getting about 1000 hits per day.

    Thanks.

Sounds intense, you should consider a dedicated server or VPS, if you want I can give you 80% off first month using coupon COOLSAVINGS in igsobe.com

with 1000 hits per day traffic, you should look for VPS. Shared hosting provider can suspend your account for high CPS/ memory usage.

How can this be possible? A VPS server for 1,000 hits a day isn't needed. I do not know many hosts that will suspend you for 1,000 hits unless you're given 1GB of bandwidth or something very low.

I have a $3.95 a month deal for you, just PM me if you're interested. Comes with unmetered diskspace and bandwidth.

1000 is absolutely fine for shared hosting depending on your site. Can I have your URL please?

1000 hits per day means nothing.

We need to know how many users on average are connecting to the site at the same time.

yes 1000 visitors is not really an issue with shared hosting unless your site uses lot of crons or sends lot emails , i have customers who has upto 10k uniques a day but again it depends upon script resource usage.

stay away from DreamHost if you wont pay annually...Hostgator would be a nice choice..GoDaddy is not that good at hosting too imo...

any idea on how much space and bandwidth you want?

as others have said, 1000 hits isn't too much - and you really shouldn't go into unlimited space and bandwidth plans expecting to be able to use as much space and bandwidth you want - always read their ToS and if they don't have a ToS, it's not worth going into because it shows they have no idea what they are doing. Aka kiddy hosts :)

revise your specs and you'll be able to find your host in an easier fashion

    good luck

I agree, don't use godaddy or dreamhost for hosting. Who are you currently your site with? How much bandwidth does the 1k visits a day use?

1000 hits per day is nothing....I use shared hosting and many of my sites cross 1000 hits/day.

unless it is video/music site, I won't really worry about few thousand hits a day.

shared hosting that is offered by all decent hosts would be able to handle such traffic.

I don't have experience with the hosts that you have mentioned, but I would suggest hostgator.com or micfo.com.

Your current server resource is very less but while buying a hosting plan, please give consideration to your future growth. Have a look at hostluck.com, they provide cheap hosting service with quality support.

I believe that would be enough to do the search for the simple web hosting account. A lot of web hosting companies can offer that at low prices

If it's just a few images that they view/linked in, you should have no issues with a decent shared web hosting company.
