How to stop a specific religion? Oh well, you know, genocide is quite effective, since that seems to be the rule of thumb everywhere else (NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!) however if you really want to stop one religion, you would have to equally stop them all from disseminating their stories into the minds of children, who are impressionable and easily programmed in a short 14 years - if not sooner. But then *gasp* that would mean stopping parents and churches. This world is doomed to live on and on, insane leaders with insane ideas brought on by insane stories, and fighting wars over different stories found in different books. It's easy to see why we never make contact with intelligent life, seeing how they would not dare interfere with the mentally handicapped planet on the outskirts of a galaxy that is far more interesting toward the center. We're a backwoods planet out on the edge, and besides, our transmission technology is so poor it only reaches about 4 light years before it is reduced to nothing. If we wanted to let any possible other-worldly life know we exist, we would have to build a signal cannon of such scale it boggles most minds. So, excuse us while we fight on the playground like spoiled brats, with guns. There is no stopping the spread of any cult without murder, and any cult that grows of sufficient size becomes a religion. This is why I like my spiders more than I like people. They don't ask for much, they don't care what I believe in, and the certainly give no thought to any wars. All they want to do is eat some bugs, make some webbing, do a happy dance when they catch something, and sleep all day. Far more intelligent than, let's say, door to door bible salesmen, with your soul as the price.
You can't stop Islam to take over the West. It's already too late. Islamics are already in power in several western countries, see Belgium for instance. They sneak in smartly. It's their time. They have waited that the tolerant western countries open their arms. And islamics are getting in, smoothly, silently and will take over. They don't have the same tolerance. Once in power, the arabic will become mandatory second language in school, Islam will become mandatory religion, burqua will become mandatory and new laws, like " Women: no sex? no food!" will prevail in western countries. The Holocaust was done by Nazi Germany. The Japanese were routing everyone and then attacked Pearl Harbor for a strategic advantage that would have been total control of the Pacific. The Nuclear Bombs stopped the Japanese from going into guerrilla warfare (and costing both sides possibly a million or more lives) after a long hard fight to push them back. The total devastation in Europe was to push back the NAZIs and in so doing, stop the Holocaust. World War Two, fought by the United States, England, France (non Vichy), Russia, and many others was won not through politics, not through money, but rather through the strength of numbers and the ability to ramp up production (quantity as a rule in the U.S. and Russia) and overwhelm the Axis Powers. Even Italy joined us after Mussolini was offed. In that war of most despicable acts of barbarism, our response was less barbaric in the end, although the Atomic Bomb was dropped, and hundreds of thousands suffered from it, but in the end it was better than two million more dead from our side and the other side. Yes, women and children were bombed, yes, women and children died - but it was no less brutal than what happened all over Europe, Africa, and China by the Axis. We won. They did not. We did not obliterate them into the dust of the winds, nor did we enslave them. We let them live on, and in so doing they have all recovered. If the Axis had prevailed, it is likely an entire ethnicity of human beings would no longer exist.
