Logo Contest for 48 Hours - Winner gets $30 [Examples inside]

Greetings,

I'm putting together a new website and would like a logo to accompany the website. It's a website for MixTape CDs.

The winner will be awarded $30 via Paypal. Contest ends on Aug 25, 2009 at 8:00pm EST.

Ideas to try to incorporate:

1. Perhaps using a crate http://www.webdesign.org/img_articles/4993/crate18.jpg

2. Perhaps using a mixtape:

3. Perhaps using a building outline or factory outline. Since crates are usually stored in a factory.

Just a couple of ideas. Don't have to have all 3 or any for that matter.

PS: If I do not like any of the designs I have the right to extend the contest. As a bonus feel free to incorporate the logo with a layout similar to LiveMixtapes (dot) com but better. I'll pay $80 for the pair. However this is not required.

Chewysmom - Nice first version. Please try a font like http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/191/royalbmw.jpg also if you could present a smaller version that would be good.

Witcher - The second logo seems to be the start of what I'm looking for. Try making the actual mixtape more integrated with the words. Perhaps put it smaller to the left? Also, try some new fonts.

the tapes were made at photoshop (not from the net)

Thanks for all the entries so far. I haven't seen the "one" yet but look forward to new ones and revisions. Here are two nice hiphop focused logos that might help inspire.

 

Hmm, I had this REALLY cool design made in illustrator just now for this logo contest. Then I thought "I wonder what this part would look like if I used the 3d tool" and I must of increase some parameter too high because my illustrator froze, and crashed without saving =[.

Time for plan B, i will try to create something else to submit.
