Was there any google algorithm change recently?

For the past 2 weeks, i could able to see a massive down on traffic, especially for the new webistes under 1 year old. Few of my websites are really did a fantastic job, but for the past 2 weeks, it stands only for the domain name, for eg. if my domain name is "blue widgets", it has retain the same position for that term, but for other variant of the terms, a significant change there in the SERPs. It seems that some type of algorithm change/heavy sandbox approach from google. I just want to know the experience from others.

Already Google Algorithm been changes but it was not applied to the Google search. Now, you can see new search results at: www2.sandbox.google.com

it gives the updated results according to the new Google Algorithm.

You can directly send feedback to Google regarding the search results.

I have not seen any change in my websites over a year old. However, I have seen a little bit of a drop with my newest one (about 4 months old). But I'm not sure if it is due to an algorithm change or just a dip in search traffic.

i think its normal changes that all websites go through. It could be the caffeine update as mentioned by atniz.

I feel and saw that sometimes Google is not caching sites regularly or once in a month, i found that one website on which i am working was not cached since 1.5 months, recently last Friday it was cached.

So this may be a reason, else i am also not able to find the reasons.

the caffeine update is only slightly different in terms of SERPs, maybe a difference in 1 or 2 positions, not massive changes like in mine and ramgay's case, also the normal google.com still doesn't have the caffeine update implemented on it yet, in any case for the most part caffeine is more of increasing the speed of searches (and you can notice it searches a notch faster) than any major changes in the algorithm.

When Google has changed it means that Google want to make search results better.
