The Massacre in the Ibrahimi Mosque (Hebron Massacre)

50 DEAD AND SEVERAL HUNDRED INJURED
    BY JEWISH SETTLER AND SOLDIERS

An Israeli settler wearing a military uniform, Baruch Goldstein, a well-known Kach leader and a physician from Kiryat Arba settlement in Hebron, entered the Ibrahimi mosque and emptied two clips of a machinegun into Moslem worshippers during the dawn prayer. Initial casualty figures are unconfirmed because the Hebron area is under curfew and injured people have been transferred to more than six hospitals in the area.

At least 48 were killed in the initial shooting (received by hospitals and confirmed by name), but estimates are that between 50 and 60 Palestinians may have been killed. More than 300 are injured. Some of them were critically injured by the high-velocity ammunition.

The massacre occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. when the mosque was crowded with worshippers for Friday prayers during Ramadan, the Moslem holy month of fasting. Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin called the massacre "a murderous act by a psychopath" against "innocent individuals." He called on both Arabs and Jews to "show restraint." A curfew was declared on Hebron.

The previous night Jewish settlers entered the mosque, a holy site called Cave of the Patriarchs for Jews; a large force of about 300 soldiers prevented Palestinians from praying. The potential conflict was resolved by 10:00 p.m. according to a waqf guard.

A shortage of blood and intensive care facilities, as well as the time delays of transporting injured, is expected to contribute to a high death rate among the critical casualties. Many of the dead and injured were from the same families; they were shot as their heads were bent in prayer, said eyewitnesses. Soldiers used tear gas and guarded the entrance of the mosque after they heard gunfire, which contributed to the difficulty of evacuating the dead and injured. Some eyewitnesses reported that soldiers took part in the shooting afterward, apparently mistaking the massacre for an armed clash.

Goldstein, an immigrant from New York and a major in the Israeli army, is said to have died inside the mosque, but it is not clear if he killed himself or was killed in the melee after opening fire.

Residents of Hebron continued to rush to hospitals and clinics to donate blood and medicine. Most of the bandages and first aid supplies have been used up. It is estimated that there are 250 injured. Clashes continue around the hospital areas surrounded by soldiers between the army and residents. At 10 AM Friday morning, a Palestinian from Badran family was shot dead by soldiers near Ahli Hospital in Hebron. Tens of others were injured. Hospital sources say that most of the injuries are from high velocity bullets.

KILLED IN RELATED INCIDENTS AND PROTEST DEMONSTRATIONS:

    49. _____ Badran, shot by army in front of Ahli hospital, Hebron
    50. Mohammed Yusef Ghayatheh, shot by settler near Beit Jala hospital
    51. Mohammad Danaf, 20, Sheikh Radwan, Rafah/Gaza
    52. Fadl Kernawi, 16, Bureij refugee camp/Gaza
    53. Mohammad Yusef Abed Abdu, 20, Bureij refugee camp/Gaza

The main criminal was Baruch Goldstein, a Jewish settler of American origin who grew up in Brooklyn, NY in an Orthodox Jewish family. His friends say that his father was very strict with him and did not want Baruch to play with Catholic children, out of his Zionist sense that the assimilation of Jews in non-Jewish society is almost a sin. His original name was Benjamin, but in keeping with the present trend among American Jews of showing their commitment to the Jewish cause and Israel, he changed his name to the Jewish name Baruch. His friends describe him as a typical Zionist with a strong commitment to the Jewish cause and Israel.

Just like previous cases, the massacre was met with nothing more than condemnation. It was nothing new; rather, it was just a reminder of the many massacres that had happened before, including Deir Yaseen, Sabra and Shatilla, to name but a few.

After more than eight years, comes the question: Who really cherishes terrorism and supports the killing of civilians and non-combatants?

But obviously not all israeli are terrorist.extremist is everywhere and for yr information Islam never promoted killing innocent ppl, women, child, old people during war.And even the war was not started by muslim. We just told to protect ourself and our religion..To protect God's religion.Islam is religion of God and God Himself know how to protect it from His enemy who r disbelieved in Him.:)

p/s:muslims never attack places of worship ! and while people are worshipping !

I remember that day. I could not believe that 1 of us - the jews and Israelis - behaved exactly like the Palestinian terrorists. I just didn't believe what I hear. Israeli behaving like a Hamas and Al-qaeda?
It was a very dark day, maybe the darkest in the history of Israel in my lifetime. My condolenses to the families of the Hebron massacre victims.
Today in the Hebrew of 2009, "Baruch Goldstein" is almost a synonym of the word "murderer".

I wish the Palestinians would have treated the exact kind of murderers who come from their side (which are many more than 1 in 15 years...) in the same manner, but instead they are called "martyrs" the streets are named after them.

Muslims are world champions in attacking places of worship....

    152. And those who believe in Allâh and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of them (Messengers), We shall give them their rewards, and Allâh is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful.

    153. The people of the Scripture (Jews) ask you to cause a book to descend upon them from heaven. Indeed they asked Mûsa (Moses) for even greater than that, when they said: "Show us Allâh in public," but they were struck with thunder clap and lightning for their wickedness. Then they worshipped the calf even after clear proofs, evidences, and signs had come to them. (Even) so We forgave them. And We gave Mûsa (Moses) a clear proof of authority.

    154. And for their covenant, We raised over them the Mount and (on the other occasion) We said: "Enter the gate prostrating (or bowing) with humility;" and We commanded them: "Transgress not (by doing worldly works on) the Sabbath (Saturday)." And We took from them a firm covenant.

    155. Because of their breaking the covenant, and of their rejecting the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, and of their killing the Prophets unjustly, and of their saying: "Our hearts are wrapped (with coverings, i.e. we do not understand what the Messengers say)" - nay, Allâh has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little.

    156. And because of their (Jews) disbelief and uttering against Maryam (Mary >Ç > ) a grave false charge (that she has committed illegal sexual intercourse);

    157. And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) >> >]:

    158. But Allâh raised him ['Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he >> is in the heavens). And Allâh is Ever AllPowerful, AllWise.

    159. And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allâh and a human being], before his ['Iesa (Jesus) >> or a Jew's or a Christian's] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he ['Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.

    160. For the wrongdoing of the Jews, We made unlawful to them certain good foods which has been lawful to them, and for their hindering many from Allâh's Way;

    161. And their taking of Ribâ (usury) though they were forbidden from taking it and their devouring of men's substance wrongfully (bribery, etc.). And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful torment.

    162. But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) and what was sent down before you, and those who perform AsSalât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât and believe in Allâh and in the Last Day, it is they to whom We shall give a great reward.

    163. Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad SAW) as We inspired Nûh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) inspired Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and AlAsbât [the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], 'Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job), Yûnus (Jonah), Hârûn (Aaron), and Sulaimân (Solomon), and to Dawûd (David) We gave the Zabûr (Psalms).

Not only did the government allocate a special site for his grave but:

A plaque near the grave reads "To the holy Baruch Goldstein, who gave his life for the Jewish people, the Torah and the nation of Israel."

And the grave was removed not because it was wrong, vile or sick, but because "it might encourage extremeists"

You and your people are no better than "ben laden" (lol) and untill you realise that you need to STFU.

May the Shuhada of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre be rewarded with Jannah by their Lord for their brave sacrifice in the name of Islam. Ameen, ameen, thumma ameen!

As for Baruch Goldstein, the Zionist entity rewarded him with a plaque:

But we all know where he ended up in.
