Thanks compadre. I've been downloading this file for several hours, and my computer is starting to throw sparks. At 4.5 hours, I've downloaded just under 90%. I can't wait to see the data...
Will it be possible to have a list of this information available here at DP? I'm talking about a condensed easier to read version. My computer would not like for me to download the entire thing.
also i quote this time and time again to colleagues: "knowledge is power" And you have to leverage that knowledge. As far as i am concerned If everyone had one keyword each we would still never use them up and i never started this thread to say that the list is the final solution. It is how you use the list and the main thing is that it has got a lot of people thinking! A lot of people about 99% will do absolutely NOTHING with this knowledge and the 1% will utilise it and make money Dr N Competition is healthy and will always be there
^^ I got your pm. I will publish the url in a new thread and in here when it is up. SHould be in the next hour or so. We are just setting up the search form and importing the data.
Brother Ozzie Text files are 200 mb each and are zipped into 10 x 40mb files which total 450mb+ making it easier to download. We will have to hope someone can load this into a mysql database and optimise the data that it can be extracted quite quickly Dr N
Wish I was knew mysql to dump this into a database, I've been searching the files with wingrep not very effective.
As i said before wingrep was a temporary solution until some clever individuals came up with solutions like what 1EightT is doing. Dr N
md5 the search terms, use first two or 3 characters to select which table to insert to You can then build a summary table from there.
I started on $1 like many here and i am not from an IT background Again - like many who have started on the forum Like i said anything is possible just go for it Knowledge is power DR N
If you put this data on your server and allow people to serch the data, will you tell us what DP users had been searched? I think this is as interesting as the database itself, for me even more...
gotta love a T3 connection. I had that downloaded at over 4200k/s Woo hoooo! 439MB in under 2 minutes
getting very close. Over 10million records imported so far. We have two or three more files to import, then we will finish the results layout and make it live.
What I found intriguing is not what terms were popular....... It was amazing that none of my keywords ranked high at all. It makes me sick to think I'm spending time on some sites that people aren't even looking for. And it was nice to know that my good sites are, well, doing good
